Why Stay at Chims Cabins?
Private Detached Cabins with Full-Size Kitchens & Dedicated Paid Guest Laundry Room: Each of our six self-contained cabins offers guests the comfort of a stand-alone suite with a private entrance, full-size kitchen, and private outdoor seating — ensuring space, privacy, and a quiet night's rest.
Flexible Configurations: Our cabins sleep up to five guests and are priced based on the number of beds provided — not just double occupancy. Each cabin includes one queen bed, with select units offering additional sleeping options such as a double bed, pull-out couch, or roll-up cot.
Extra Beds and Guests: Additional guest charges apply only in the Bear Cabin and Wolf Cabin, which can accommodate 1–3 or 1–2 extra guests respectively. An extra $25 + taxes per person, per night applies for use of the pull-out couch or cot. All other cabins are priced based on bed type and do not allow for additional guests.
Pet-Free Environment: We maintain a pet-free policy to ensure clean, allergy-conscious spaces — free from pet hair, dander, or odors.
Corporate & Travel Nurse Rates Available: Chims Cabins is ideal for short- or long-term work stays. We offer special rates for corporate guests and travel nurses — ask if you qualify. Select units also include in-suite laundry.
BC Provincial Government Rates: Guests traveling for work with valid Government of BC ID are eligible for preferred rates when booking directly with us.

Booking Options
Bear Cabin - 1 Queen
As our original and most spacious cabin, the Bear Cabin sleeps up to five guests, making it the natural pick for families or groups travelling together. It's also our most accessible suite, with completely step-free entry and the only bathroom featuring a relaxing bathtub-and-shower combo. A full dishwasher-equipped kitchen and in-cabin laundry make it especially comfortable for longer stays.

- Accessibility: Mobility-friendly with no steps for easy access.

Wolf Cabin - 1 Queen
The Wolf Cabin pairs a queen bed with a double pull-out couch, giving couples and small families flexible space without giving up privacy. A larger bathroom with a walk-in shower and easy one-step entry add to the comfort, while in-cabin laundry, offered in only a couple of our cabins, makes it a favourite for work stays and longer visits. It's an easygoing, practical retreat for guests who want a little extra room to spread out.

Butterfly Cabin - 1 Queen & 2 Twin
With one queen bed and two separate twin beds, the Butterfly Cabin is built for families with children or friends who'd rather not share a bed. A larger bathroom with a walk-in shower and a fully equipped kitchen keep everyone comfortable, and the private covered patio is a quiet spot to unwind after a day exploring Port Alberni. It's our most flexible sleeping layout for small groups.

Hummingbird Cabin - 1 Queen
The Hummingbird Cabin is our cosiest, most private retreat, a queen-bed suite designed for two, ideal for couples, solo travellers, or business guests wanting a quiet home base. Despite its intimate size it doesn't skimp on comfort, with a full induction kitchen, dishwasher, and a spacious walk-in-shower bathroom. Its private covered patio makes it a peaceful place to slow down after a day on Vancouver Island.

- Accessibility: Features two steps on/off the deck and includes a walk-in shower and larger bathroom.

Eagle Cabin - 1 Queen & 1 Double
One of our newest cabins, the Eagle Cabin offers a queen bed plus a separate full-size double, with real beds rather than a pull-out, comfortably sleeping up to four. It has a bright, newly built feel, a modern induction kitchen with dishwasher, and a thoughtful layout that keeps the suite private and quiet. It's a great fit for families, two couples travelling together, or work crews who need proper beds for everyone.

It suits families, work crews, or two couples who want comfortable, real beds and an easy, peaceful stay close to everything Port Alberni offers.
